Open cell EPDM foam is suitable for interior and exterior applications where soft compression, cushioning, acoustic absorption and long-term weathering resistance are required.
• Acoustic cushioning and sound absorption for cases, equipment and interior parts.
• Automotive, transportation and machinery vibration-damping pads.
• Construction gap filling, soft compression pads and dust-reducing foam strips.
• Manufacturing lines, equipment protection and assembly cushioning.
• Product packaging, case inserts, surface protection and shock absorption.
• Full rolls, sheet cut lengths, strip cut lengths, gaskets and adhesive tapes.
EPDM, or ethylene propylene diene monomer foam, is a versatile sponge rubber material used in many industrial and commercial applications. Open cell EPDM foam is soft, compressible and suitable for cushioning, sound absorption, vibration damping and protective foam parts.
EPDM foam is valued for ageing resistance, durability, compressibility, thermal resistance, sunlight resistance, ozone resistance and weathering resistance. It performs well in outdoor and industrial environments where long service life is important.
Open cell EPDM egg foam adds a profiled surface to improve cushioning contact and acoustic performance. It can be processed into sheets, rolls, strips, tapes with or without adhesive, blocks and custom gaskets.
For applications requiring a fully watertight seal, customers should confirm compression ratio, density and whether a closed-cell EPDM grade is more suitable. Topsun can help recommend the correct EPDM foam structure according to the sealing or cushioning requirement.
Topsun can supply open cell EPDM foam in sheets, rolls, strip cut lengths, die-cut gaskets, case inserts and adhesive-backed foam tapes. The material can be used for acoustic cushioning, vibration damping, packaging protection, gap filling and soft compression applications.
Available customization options include foam thickness, density, sheet size, roll size, egg-crate profile, adhesive type, release liner, die-cut shape, laminated surface and packaging method. Customers can send drawings, samples or application details for material recommendation and quotation.
Topsun is a professional foam supplier with advanced processing capabilities to convert foam materials into finished or semi-finished products. We can process EPDM foam, EVA foam, PE foam, XPE foam, IXPE foam, CR foam, neoprene foam, SBR foam, NBR foam and micro-cell soft PVC foam.
1. Cutting: cut foam sheets, blocks or parts according to customer size requirements.
2. Slicing: slice foam thickness according to the required specification.
3. Lamination: provide hot melt film lamination, flame lamination and pressure-sensitive adhesive lamination.
4. Laser cutting: cut foam drawings without opening molds for some customized foam shapes.
5. Die cutting: open molds according to customer design and produce foam pads, seals and inserts efficiently.
6. Compression molding: manufacture three-dimensional molded foam and foam composite parts with defined geometry and dimensional requirements.
7. Engraving: produce tool box inserts and packaging inserts according to customer requirements.
8. Silk-screen printing: print logos and patterns on the surface of foam products.
9. Adhesive backing: apply adhesive and release liner to produce foam tapes and self-adhesive foam parts.
Topsun is a professional supplier of foam materials and custom foam products. We provide EVA foam, PE foam, XPE foam, IXPE foam, CR foam, EPDM foam, neoprene foam, SBR foam, NBR foam and micro-cell soft PVC foam. These materials can be supplied in sheet, roll, strip, tape and customized converted foam parts.
Our factory is located in Changzhou City, Jiangsu Province, about one hour by road to Shanghai Port. Topsun provides foam material selection, custom processing, sample support and OEM foam converting services for customers worldwide.
1. Cutting - cutting the size as per client’s request
2. Slicing - Slicing the thickness as per client’s request
3. Lamination - hot melt film lamination, flame lamination, and pressure-sensitive adhesive lamination
4. Laser Vibrator - New type cutting machine, can cut the foam drawing without open molds
5. Die cutting - Open molds as per your design then at first, use die cutting machine to produce, it’s quicker than laser vibrator.
6. Compression Molding - Compression molding is a process we utilizes for the manufacturing of three-dimensional molded foam and foam composite parts. It is an ideal process for making parts that have intricate features, require very defined part geometry, have varying wall thicknesses or need to be held to critical dimensional tolerances.
7. Engraving machine - Usually to make tool box insert and packing insert as per client’s requests.
8. Silk-screen printing - Print logos and patterns on the surface of foam products
9. Adhesive backing - Gluing on the surface of the foam with liners. Usually produce foam tapes and other products need to stick on.
