Synthetic rubber is available in various types, with Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer (EPDM) and Neoprene being two of the most widely used in the automotive, HVAC, and roofing industries. While both materials serve a range of applications, they have distinct differences that set them apart.

What is EPDM?

Like EPDM, Neoprene resists alkalis and acids, but remains susceptible to aromatic and oxygenated solvents. However, it offers superior resistance to corrosion and overall material degradation.
