Product Description
Topsun P350 closed cell PVC sponge foam is a high-density PVC foam material designed for applications requiring dimensional stability, cushioning, vibration damping, flexible sealing and durable foam components. It is suitable for fuel tank cushions, automotive components, HVAC equipment, industrial gaskets, machinery, appliances and other converted foam parts.
The P350 product has a listed density of 350±50 kg/m³ and is available in thicknesses from 0.5 mm to 16 mm. Its relatively high density and Shore 00 hardness make it suitable for applications where greater support and dimensional stability are required compared with softer PVC foam grades.
Closed cell PVC sponge foam also provides low water absorption, good weather resistance, vibration damping and conformability to curved or irregular surfaces. Topsun can convert the material into sheets, strips, pads, adhesive-backed tapes, gaskets and custom die-cut parts according to drawings, samples or application requirements.

Polyvinyl chloride foam, commonly called PVC sponge foam, is a cellular PVC material used for cushioning, sealing, vibration control and industrial gasket applications.
Closed-cell PVC foam contains predominantly isolated cells, which helps limit water absorption and gives the material a stable structure for industrial sealing and cushioning applications.
PVC foam can be produced in different density and hardness ranges. Topsun's broader PVC foam range covers approximately 80 kg/m³ to 500 kg/m³ and Shore 00 hardness from approximately 5° to 99°, allowing different grades to be selected for soft compression, general sealing or higher-density support applications.
This P350 product is a high-density grade intended for applications such as fuel tank cushioning, vehicle components, equipment supports, industrial gaskets and other converted foam parts where greater dimensional stability is required.
PVC sponge foam is available in different density and hardness grades. Choosing between higher-density and lower-density foam depends on how much support, compression and conformity the finished component requires.
| Comparison | High Density PVC Foam | Lower Density PVC Foam |
| Support | Greater support for pads, cushions and structural interfaces | Softer compression for lighter sealing and conformability |
| Hardness | Generally firmer depending on grade | Generally softer depending on grade |
| Typical Function | Cushioning, support, vibration damping, gaskets and protective pads | Low-force sealing, weather strips and compressible interfaces |
| Typical Applications | Fuel tank cushions, machinery, automotive supports and industrial pads | Windows, doors, HVAC panels and general weather sealing |
High density PVC sponge foam can be used as a cushioning interface around fuel tanks and related assemblies where support, vibration damping and protection against direct contact between components are required.
The required foam thickness and finished shape depend on the mounting structure, available gap, compression conditions and contact area. Pads and strips can be cut or die-cut according to drawings and finished dimensions.
For any application involving direct exposure to fuel or other chemicals, the specific fluid, temperature and exposure conditions should be provided so material compatibility can be evaluated separately.
High density closed cell PVC foam can be used for vehicle cushioning, equipment interfaces, vibration-control pads, body components and other applications requiring a relatively firm foam support.
The supplied technical information also lists customizable UL94 flammability grades and FMVSS 302. Where a specific automotive flame requirement applies, the required grade and supporting documentation should be confirmed before ordering.
PVC sponge foam can be converted into pads, gaskets and strips for HVAC systems, machinery, electrical appliances, equipment enclosures and other industrial assemblies.
Higher-density foam is useful where the component requires dimensional stability and firmer support while maintaining the flexibility of a cellular foam material.
